The author will give an enhanced overview of her book about a champion civil rights activists, Freeman Henry Morris Murray, who happens to be her great-grandfather. She provides a brief review of his character. Additional information pertains to Freeman Murray's establishment of a post civil war underground railroad in Alexandria plus his involvement in the American Negro Academy, the Niagara Movement, the Horizon magazine, and the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People.
